Volunteer

Our new sanctuary in SLO is seeking volunteers.

• Donkey Care: Do you have hands-on experience with horses or donkeys? Join our team and help provide care to our rescued residents.

1. FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR TEAM AND OUR DONKEYS, WE REQUIRE VOLUNTEERS  WORKING DIRECTLY WITH THE DONKEYS TO HAVE RECENT HANDS-ON KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE WORKING  DONKEYS OR HORSES.
2. Must be able to commit to at least 2 shifts every week for 3 months. (Typical volunteer shift is 3-4 hours)
3. Must love working outside, rain or shine
4. Must be able to lift up to 50# 
5. Must be at least 18 years old.

• Support Roles: We also need volunteers to help with events, tours, workshops, the gift shop, parking, guest services and so much more!

1. These sanctuary volunteer roles do not work directly with the donkey, but you get to be around them and get to know them with our staff.
2. This a great supportive role and a great way to get involved and support Rancho Burro Donkey Sanctuary!
3. Must be at least 18 years old.
