Volunteer

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Rancho Burro Donkey Sanctuary. Our volunteers are an essential part of making our sanctuary run smoothly.

Our volunteers give our donkeys extra hands-on loving attention, medical care, exercise, grooming, enrichment, and training.

A typical Volunteer Shift can range from haltering, walking, exercising, grooming, brushing, bathing, cleaning hooves, and treating wounds, both emotional and physical.

REQUIREMENTS:

• FOR THE SAFETY OF OUR TEAM AND OUR DONKEYS, WE REQUIRE VOLUNTEERS WHO HAVE RECENT HANDS-ON KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE WORKING  DONKEYS OR HORSES.
• Must be able to commit to at least 2 shifts every week for 3 months. (Typical volunteer shift is 3-4 hours)
• Must love working outside, rain or shine
• Must be able to lift up to 50# 
• Must be at least 18 years old
