Individuals With Disabilities Program
We invite groups and organizations within the differently-abled community to join us for exclusive, tailored enrichment days. Experience a low-stress, grounding environment where our gentle donkeys and mules inspire joy and enhance lives. To ensure these experiences are accessible to all, these group visits are provided completely free of charge!
A Space for Shared Healing
Shared Resilience
Many of our rescued donkeys have their own physical or emotional challenges, offering an inspiring example of shared resilience and mutual healing.
Tailored For Groups
This free program is specifically designed for community organizations. (Individuals are encouraged to book our accessible Family Tours!)
Fully Accessible
Our sanctuary is completely wheelchair accessible, ensuring everyone can experience the inclusive joy of animal companionship.
What Your Visit Includes
We offer two flexible options for your group, typically scheduled Monday through Saturday between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM:
- 1-Hour Visit: Meet and spend time with our resident donkeys, followed by a relaxing lunch break in the barn.
- 2-Hour Visit: Includes extended donkey interaction, a guided low-stress activity, and a relaxing lunch break in the barn.
Please note: We do not provide food, so groups must bring their own lunches or snacks to enjoy in our barn space!
Important Guidelines
To ensure everyone has a safe and wonderful experience, please note the following rules:
- Age Restriction: Participants must be 8 years of age or older.
- Mobility: We are wheelchair accessible, but visitors must bring their own mobility devices.
- Service Animals: Service animals are welcome on the property, but they are strictly restricted from direct donkey contact areas for everyone’s safety.
- Waivers: Every single participant, guardian, and staff member must sign their own separate liability waiver before the visit.
Help Keep These Visits Free
We are incredibly proud to offer our Individuals With Disabilities Program 100% free of charge to community organizations. However, providing this safe, healing space and caring for our gentle herd requires ongoing support. Please consider making a donation today. Your gift directly ensures that we can continue sharing the magic of the sanctuary with those who need it most, without ever creating a financial barrier.
