Rancho Burro is a private sanctuary providing a safe haven and specialized care for rescued donkeys and mules. From our 46-acre home, we focus on rehabilitation and community education. We invite you to meet our herd, learn about their unique needs, and see firsthand how your support changes lives—one hoof at a time.

Your tax-deductible donation for a private group tour directly funds the essential care of our rescued donkeys, including their feed, pasture, and sanctuary upkeep, rehabilitation, and ongoing medical needs.

During our exclusive, staff-led tour (approx. 1 hour), you will get a behind-the-scenes look at our work. Our team will share powerful rescue stories and educate you on donkey welfare, responsible ownership, and proper care. You will have the opportunity to observe the herd's heartwarming interactions and connect safely with the donkeys under our guidance in an experience that fosters compassion.

PLEASE NOTE:

Arrival & Scheduling
-Private Property: Rancho Burro is a private sanctuary; we are not open to the public.
-Appointments: Tours are by appointment only.
-Timing: Tours run from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Please arrive at the gate by 10:50 am for entry.

Guest Requirements
-Age Limit: For safety reasons, children under age 8 are not permitted.
-Form: Please complete one information form per individual or family unit. Groups must provide their group leader or committee name. Unrelated guests should sign their own forms.

The Sanctuary Experience
-Donkey Comfort: As a rehabilitation center, we do not allow guests inside the donkey habitats.
-The Fence Line: You are invited to observe, photograph, and "be" with the donkeys from the fence line. This respects their space and supports their ongoing healing.

I give Rancho Burro Donkey Sanctuary permission to use any photos or videos to be used in our social media & marketing.

I, the undersigned, understand that interacting with equines involves inherent risks of injury. I hereby voluntarily release, waive, and discharge Rancho Burro Donkey Sanctuary, its officers, directors, principals, agents, volunteers, and property owners from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action for bodily injury, property damage, or wrongful death, including those caused by the negligence of the sanctuary or its staff. I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees from any costs or liabilities resulting from my (or my minor's) presence on the property. By signing below, I acknowledge that I have read this document in its entirety and understand I am giving up substantial legal rights
