Your tax-deductible donation for a private group tour directly funds the essential care of our rescued donkeys, including their feed, pasture, and sanctuary upkeep, rehabilitation, and ongoing medical needs.
During our exclusive, staff-led tour (approx. 1 hour), you will get a behind-the-scenes look at our work. Our team will share powerful rescue stories and educate you on donkey welfare, responsible ownership, and proper care. You will have the opportunity to observe the herd’s heartwarming interactions and connect safely with the donkeys under our guidance in an experience that fosters compassion.

Please Note:
• Rancho Burro is a private sanctuary and is not open to the public.
• All tours are by appointment only.
• For the safety of our guests and animals, children under the age of 8 are not permitted on tours.
#2 - Tour Guidelines and Rules:
- Ensure you have NO food or strong-smelling items on your person, as this may encourage the donkeys to nibble. NO FEEDING of the donkeys is allowed at any time.
- Please, NO Yelling around the donkeys. They have very sensitive ears.
- Please, NO Running around the donkeys. They are very gentle and like calm, slow, caring movements and touch.
- Please turn your phone on silent, and if you answer your phone, please do so by the cars.
- You are welcome to take pictures and videos of the donkeys.
- Wear closed-toe, sturdy shoes (required). Bring a hat or coat. Wear weather-appropriate attire. Please secure all loose personal items (sunglasses, jewelry, scarves, or bags) as donkeys may nibble or pull on them.
- NO DOGS ALLOWED ON THE PROPERTY. NO EXCEPTIONS.
- DO NOT OPEN any gates or enter any enclosures unless specifically instructed by a Rancho Burro Team member
- We encourage questions about the donkeys and the sanctuary!
